Holly Hamilton, MSW, LCSW

My name is Holly Hamilton and I am a Senior Clinician at Artemis Counseling. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in Social Work from Saint Louis University.

While in college, I worked as an after-school leader, which is where I found my passion to work with kids and their families. After moving back to Missouri in 2015, I held a position presenting over 1400 child abuse prevention lessons to children throughout St. Louis City and County schools. I then worked with an agency to implement applied behavior analysis services to those with on the autism spectrum. During graduate school internships, I worked with two different city schools as a school social worker. While there, I cultivated welcoming and trusting relationships with students to connect them and their families with appropriate resources to meet basic needs. I also oversaw a variety of social skill therapy groups for students ranging from Kindergarten- 6th grade and implemented curriculum specific to the needs of the different groups.  Prior to coming to Artemis, I worked as a school-based therapist where I provided one-on-one therapy services to early childhood and elementary-aged students including social-emotional regulation and crisis intervention.

I have training in various modalities including play therapy approaches, art therapy techniques, and attachment theory. I work with early childhood aged kids, school-aged children and families who experience the following:

  • Adjustment disorder

  • Trauma

  • Anxiety

  • ADHD

  • Depression

  • Grief

  • Low self-esteem

  • Relationship issues
