Erika Ottolini, MEd, LPC
Welcome! My name is Erika Ottolini, and I am the Founder and Lead Therapist at Artemis Counseling. After several years working in nonprofit and other clinical settings, I founded Artemis Counseling in 2014 in line with the values of Artemis the archetype from Greek mythology - the protector of children and of the family dynamic.
At Artemis Counseling, we view our role in our work with teens, adults, co-parents and families as that of advocates, confidantes and champions. Individuals and families often come to us during a time of transition, such as life stressors, family conflict, parental separation or divorce, at a time when they are likely experiencing feelings of hopelessness, fear, frustration and loss. Our down-to-earth, accepting, nonjudgmental and empowering approach allows us to meet our clients where they are and help them create and navigate a path forward. Ultimately, our goal is for our clients to achieve their own goals, and our greatest joy is watching them soar and lead lives where they feel empowered, heard, connected and filled with hope.
Utilizing my extensive training in cognitive therapies, psychodynamic psychotherapy and co-parenting work, I work with individual teens and adults, families and co-parents who are experiencing the following:
Adjustment disorder
Anxiety
Behavioral issues
Depression
Difficulty with transitions
Family conflict
Family reunification
Grief
Relationship issues
Low self-esteem
Spiritual conflict
